Cartoon People presents Cartoons for Equality — a national  competition and exhibition aimed at raising awareness and inspiring action to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). Organized in partnership with UN Women, Bonhishikha, and Maa er Doa Studio, with support from the Government of Canada, this online gallery features the Top 200 cartoons selected from hundreds of submissions across Bangladesh. Through sharp wit, empathy, and powerful storytelling, these single-image cartoons and comic strips reveal how women and girls experience violence in everyday spaces — at home, in workplaces and schools, in public, and in digital spaces. This exhibition is part of a larger festival where cartoon becomes advocacy — amplifying voices, challenging stereotypes, and inspiring social change. Join us from October 30 to November 8 , 2025, at the National Art Gallery, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, where cartoons, games, murals, and installations come together to celebrate empowerment and equality.
