Our Story
Founded in 2016, Cartoon People began as a passionate community of cartoonists and visual storytellers from Bangladesh. Over the years, we’ve nurtured local cartoonists with the goal of creating comics and animations rooted in the rich cultural context of our country. In 2022, we took our vision a step further and launched Cartoon People Comics, a comics publishing house dedicated to producing world-class comics and children’s books.
Our mission is to share the unique stories of Bangladesh with young readers around the world. By combining local artistry with international storytelling standards, we aim to bridge cultures and inspire imagination on a global scale. Our team works tirelessly to turn this dream into a reality, one page at a time.
Our Team
At the heart of Cartoon People is a team of passionate individuals, all united by a shared vision: to bring deshi stories to life through the art of comics. Leading this charge is Rashad Imam Tanmoy, the founder of Cartoon People, and a celebrated Bangladeshi cartoonist and comic book artist.
Rashad Imam Tanmoy
Founder Of Cartoon People
Tanmoy’s journey began at the renowned satirical magazine Unmad, and for over a decade, he has been creating political cartoons for various national newspapers. Known for his sharp wit and captivating storytelling, his work has resonated with audiences both locally and internationally. His comic series, Rustom Palowan, remains a favorite among young Bengali readers, while his socially insightful cartoons have earned him a reputation as one of the most beloved voices in the Bangladeshi cartoon and comic scene.
Shahadat Hossain
Sales and Distribution Manager
Shahadat Hossain serves as the Sales and Distribution Manager at Cartoon People Comics, while also overseeing the Graphic Design department. As a talented cartoonist and designer, he has been instrumental in shaping the visual identity of our publications. Shahadat handles all external sales and distribution, ensuring our comics reach readers both online and through physical distributors. Shahadat is passionate about creating thought-provoking, fun, and visually captivating cartoons, and he looks forward to developing even more engaging stories in the future.
Ayman
Business Development Manager
Ayman is a comic artist and the Business Development Manager at Cartoon People Comics. In his role, he works on building and expanding partnerships with various organizations, while also overseeing sales and analyzing the business performance of our publications. Alongside these responsibilities, Ayman continues to pursue his passion for writing and drawing. He has worked on the comic শেষ রাতের স্বপ্ন (“The Last Night’s Dream”) and looks forward to working on many more stories and comics with us in the future.
